Hello, I am Kumsal. I was abandoned on campus with my siblings when I was very small. We were ill at the time, with something we could have passed to the other friends on campus. The Haydok people went to great trouble to have me and my siblings treated, neutered, and looked for homes for us — but sadly, even when I was tiny, nobody came forward to be my family.

While I was living on campus with my siblings, my friends and my human friends, one day I got curious about other places and wandered away. Then I got lost. My friends from Haydok searched for me on foot and on social media, but found nothing. Then one day they heard that I had come back to campus, injured, and they came straight away to check on me.

I was in a bad way — the wounds on my legs were so deep that my bones were showing. I was so happy to have made it back to the people who love me that I had not even noticed what had happened to me. They picked me up and took me to the clinic at once. Everyone was desperate to know what had happened, and frightened for me. My vet thinks I was hit by a car, and that my legs looked like that because the car dragged me along the asphalt.

Now I have one more thing to ask of everyone who loves and supports me, because I have had sad news. The home where I ran with my siblings, played with my friends, hugged my human friends and grew up is not suitable for me any more. Because of my health I cannot live on the street; I need a new home.
