Help with transport
We need a car to get our animals to the vet and to the boarding kennels. We cover the fuel.
We do not have a car
Taking a dog to the vet, moving one to the boarding kennels, handing one over to its new family — all of it needs a vehicle. We do not have one. We ask someone every time, and on the days we cannot find anyone, the appointment waits.
If you have a car and can help now and then, that is worth as much to us as food or medicine. And it costs you nothing: we cover the fuel.

These are the trips we make
Most trips take half an hour, and most of them are within Ankara.
The things people ask
- How often would you be asking?
- We cannot promise a number, but we do not overdo it: some weeks once, some months not at all. The more people on the list, the less each one is asked.
- Who pays for fuel?
- We do. Just tell us afterwards. Please do ask — it is not a favour you are asking for, it is a cost that belongs to us.
- My car is small, my seats are pale…
- Not a problem. We bring boot covers, blankets and a crate if one is needed. Tell us the size of your car in the form and we will match accordingly — we are not going to squeeze a big dog into a small boot.
- I am a bit nervous around dogs. Can I still help?
- You can. A volunteer who handles the animal comes with you; your job is only the driving. And on food-and-supplies runs there is no animal at all.
- What happens to my details?
- Your name and number are used for this and nothing else, and shared with nobody. One message from you and we delete them permanently.
Have a car? Would you help?
Four questions, two minutes. We will call you when a lift is needed.
Even without a car, you can keep the road open
Fuel and clinic bills come round every month. Becoming a foster supporter is the most useful help today.
